Goals for the Summer

I need to set some health care related goals this summer.  The last few weeks have been the weeks from hell, and I had stopped taking care of myself properly months ago.

So my first goal, which I set two weeks ago, is to get control of my blood sugar.  I've been doing better, but I still skip finger sticks.  You can tell how bad my day is as to how many figure sticks I've done.

My second goal is to get back to exercising regularly and I've got a good start on that -- I've managed to get on the treadmill for at least 15 minutes almost every day.  Am upping the time this week to twenty.

I'd love to be down 20 pounds over the summer, but I don't know if that is possible.  The lapband is funny, sometimes it won't let me eat, and sometimes I think I need a fill.  Not sure what is going on and am hoping to get to a support group meeting.

Seeing my counselor has been great.  I plan to see more of her this summer, especially since the clock starts over again in September.  I know I'm going to need her when the school year starts.
