Honestly I see a lot of resistance to professional development from traditionally certified teachers. I see less of it among alternatively certified teachers. But that is just what I see and others will see different things. It may also depend on the part of the country or the way PD is run locally or ... well lots of things.
Some teachers will go to any training they can get. My traditionally certified son and alternatively certified wife are both like that. They even pay for a lot of PD out of pocket. That is more common among good teachers regardless of certification type than it is among poor teachers regardless of certificate type.
