I have purchased strips (and a meter) from ebay, although only occasionally. On the upside, I am still alive...
Sometimes you get a good story about where they came from. I own two meters, both OneTouch UltraSmarts. One stays at home (usually) and one stays in my desk at work.

OMG! People do that? But then I have insurance and no problem buying strips - but I agree, you never know what you're getting.
