I am also a TX teacher with Type II diabetes. I'm wildly out of control right now - getting better with the summer schedule - and considering a pump. Just called BCBSTX and was told the pump would be covered - $500 deductible and 80% coverage - the supplies would be covered the same way. The BlueCross rep I talked to didnt think the brand mattered. Does any of this match your experience? I don't go back to the doc until September, but wonder if I should just go ahead and make another appt (just saw her this week) to get started now. But ... I don't have trouble with control during the summer - once school starts up again it's another story! So... insurance experience? Timing opinion?

I am having a hard time getting Byetta put on the formulary here at the hospital where I work as an RN any suggestions?
It is going to cost almost twice as much now as it did when we had insurance coverage under my husband's mail in.Thank you
