How I cope with and deal with diabetes on a day to day basis. Also lots of links to websites and new articles on diabetes. Some information on sleep issues.
The rules in the article sound like an eating disorder to me, paying that much attention to food. Since diagnosis with type 2 diabetes I do have to think always about how much carbohydrate I can have (my goal is to keep my blood sugar from spiking over 140). But my goal is still not to obsess about food. I do test after I eat, and some would say that is obsessing but to me it is information.
I just wish all the folks who write about diet would say that different approaches work for different people, and maybe even give suggestions about what kind of people are likely to like a particular approach.
